Conquer your ISEB CPT and CAT4 goals with Pre-Quest!

Pre-Quest is an online platform designed by teachers to prepare for the ISEB CPT, GL and CAT4 tests

In 2019, we designed Pre-Quest for Brandon students in Hong Kong. We have hundreds of Y4 and Y5 pupils who prepare for the ISEB Common Pretest and CAT4 assessments.

Brandon tutors, who are teaching ISEB pre-test skills daily, have created our questions and use Pre-Quest in our classes. Now, we are opening up the programme so more students can share our knowledge.

We know Pre-Quest works! Each year, our students win interviews at selective schools including: Eton, Westminster, Winchester, Benenden, Downe House, Marlborough, and Wellington. Our CAT4 students have excelled in Wycombe, Cheltenham Ladies, and GSIS assessments.

Pre-Quest succeeds by breaking down each topic. Students learn skills and practice a myriad of question types. You get to see which type of questions you have mastered and tips helps explain new question types. A link to Brandon allows you to book a tutor if your child needs a bit of extra help.

You won’t need to pay extra for tests or updates; one package includes all you need.

Questions from Pre-Quest parents

What is the ISEB CPT – Common Pre-test? What is tested?

What is the ISEB CPT?

The ISEB Common Pre-test (CPT) is an online test used in admissions  to British independent schools.

Since 2005, Brandon has been preparing students for entry to British schools. For the ISEB CPT, Brandon created their own online teaching platform. We have also added in many of our own cunning designs so students are ready for all challenges!

Our aim is to find and fill in the gaps in our students’ knowledge. So you can prepare in advance, each unit in PreQuest splits into three different levels. Students can choose to work through each stage or challenge themselves.

The ISEB Common Pretest covers four principal areas, all of which are tested with multiple choice questions:

  • Non-verbal reasoning (solving problems using diagrams and patterns)
  • Verbal reasoning (problems working with words and language)
  • Mathematics (working with numbers, value and sequences)
  • English (grammar, vocabulary and comprehension which can include fiction, non-fiction and poetry)

Practice is the Key!

Each exercise and test is timed, analysed and recorded; track progress and identify weak spots.
